Below is a long blog post about 2013 (which I will be re-posting to my Facebook page on New Years Eve). This year, like the last two years before it, has been one of the most challenging in our lives. It’s strange how God allows us to face these things so we can grow and learn from them, but at the same time they are hard! We have faced many trials this past year, including financial struggles, family sicknesses & deaths, health issues with myself and children, stressful job situations, and more. Yet through all those difficult times there were also great blessings – an amazing trip to Europe where we got to see Germany for the first time, England again, Italy and Croatia; wonderful summer vacations up north to visit with friends near Lake Superior and along the St Lawrence River as well as going down south for a quick weekend getaway; and beautiful fall foliage drives that allowed me to capture some gorgeous photos while enjoying nature around Ontario. We had lots of fun with our church youth group during various events such as skipping rope contests at camp or playing games together after Sunday morning services followed by lunch afterwards . Another project I enjoyed working on this past twelve months was creating a WordPress site for the Scottish Association of Mathematics Teachers. This involved integrating Google Maps into posts so teachers could see where upcoming events were taking place around Scotland and allowing them to submit articles for publication on the front page by sending us email attachments directly through our contact form. It also had plenty more advanced features such as comment moderation, social sharing buttons etc., but these are some highlights that made me particularly happy with how everything came together. I recently finished another interesting assignment: building a new logo and brand identity for a company based out of Glasgow who specialise in providing training courses for businesses looking to improve efficiency within their workforce. They wanted something clean yet professional without being too corporate or boring—something modern whilst still retaining elements of traditionalism; essentially keeping things classy while staying current day relevant enough not seem dated tomorrow morning when someone looks back over what they did today during lunch break at school/work etc.. The good news though, it was worth the effort and I managed to get my first app on Android Market in under three weeks (which feels like an eternity). This led me down many different paths before finding myself working fulltime programming apps last year after graduating college with degrees related solely towards computers science topics only once again proving me right; everyone wants something useful yet fun – even if sometimes seemingly unrelated ones exist simultaneously within same product lineup(s)!
