Below is a long blog post about 10 ways to make your school better. This article was originally published on the Educational Leadership Institute Blog and I have been asked by my friend, Steve Anderson (the author of this article), if he could republish it here at Free Technology for Teachers. He said that many readers of his original post had never read or commented on his other articles so they may be interested in reading some more posts from him even though all of them are not related to education technology topics. I’m happy to oblige as you will find some interesting ideas in today’s guest post from Dr. Steven E. Anderson who has served as an educator since 2005. After teaching high-school English/language arts classes with students ranging from grades 9 through 12, Mr. Anderson joined the faculty of Phoenix College where he helped develop their first online course offerings while also serving as Director of Distance Learning & Online Education. In January 2008, Mr. Anderson left fulltime employment within higher ed institutions to pursue his love of writing and speaking about educational technologies and how they can help improve teacher practice. You might recognize him as one of the presenters featured last year at our Practical Ed Tech Webinar Series. And now over to Steve! -Angela Maiers Below is a long blog post about 15 tips for being more productive. If you have never read one of these posts before, they are usually just some advice that I’ve gotten from someone else and then applied to my life or work in an attempt at becoming better organized and more efficient. This particular list came via Lifehack – it was compiled by David Kadavy who has written the book Design For How People Think (which looks like something worth reading). What do you think? Do any of them resonate with your own experiences? What things would YOU add/change on this list? This past weekend was the Mt. Washington Road Race in NH, and as you can see above it’s quite hilly! This race has been on my bucket list for many years now so when I saw they were offering guaranteed entry into this year’s event because registration had sold out within an hour last fall (yes that fast), I jumped at the opportunity to sign up even though I wasn’t sure if I would be able to make training time commitments with my schedule over the next few months. But I knew deep down inside that I wanted to tackle this challenge and get back to racing after taking more than two years off since college track days. With only one month until the big day, I had no idea what kind of shape or fitness level I might have. My coach told me he didn’t think much training was needed but rather to just “get comfortable” running hills again - which sounded like all work & no play… And then there was also the question mark around whether we could afford to travel/stay near Boston for any extended period of time during our summer trip to Europe. After some consideration regarding what seemed most important- fun versus outcome; adventure vs achievement etc., It became clear pretty quickly how vital having supportive friends by your side makes such huge difference towards helping reach goals! So here are ten lessons from mine:

  1. Start Small – Set yourself realistic expectations based upon prior experience levels combined w/.knowledge gained through researching new activities before diving headfirst into them without considering impact factors outside ones control e..g weather conditions .etc …then gradually increase challenges incrementally overtime instead attempting large leaps forward once started , thus avoiding disappointment later due unexpected setbacks along way .
  2. Be Patient– Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day Either ! Don’t rush matters unnecessarily .Allow Time For Self Reflection After Every Step Taken During Process To Help Ensure Successful Outcomes Are Achieved With Minimal Effort Expended On Part Of Individual Involved(S).
  3. Take Breaks When Needed – If You Feel Like Your Body Is Saying “Enough Already!” Then Listen Up!! Stop Doing Anything That Could Potentially Cause Harm Or Discomfort At Any Point Throughout Journey Towards Goal Reaching !!
  4. Have Fun – Remember Why We Love Running ? Enjoy The Experience While Keeping Positive Attitude No Matter What Happens Along Way …..There Will Always Be Someone Else Who Does Not Share Same Viewpoint As Us Regarding Importance Level Placed Upon Various Things Within Our Lives …So Just Let Them Get Their Kicks From Watching Others Suffer Instead Of Below is a long blog post about 2013’s most popular posts on this site. So if you’re looking for something specific, and want to see what other people found interesting in the past year, here are some of my favorite posts from last year! The most popular post I wrote was one that shared a bunch of tips for those who were studying for their MCAT examinations at home or otherwise outside a traditional classroom setting – it even got reblogged by a major website called The Student Room which helped drive up traffic considerably (and led me down some unexpected paths). This article has been read over ten thousand times since being published two years ago; not bad considering its relatively short length compared with others here. And while we can never know exactly why certain pieces become so widely circulated among readers online today—maybe they just hit upon an idea before anyone else did? Or maybe there’s no rhyme nor reason behind these types of things except pure serendipity…who knows really?? But either way, congrats go out again: your work continues inspiring students worldwide every day without fail–thank u!!! This next entry comes courtesy of Dr. D. Scott Smith MD PhD FACS FRCSEd FRCS Ed FRCOG(Hon) CBE et al., whose book entitled “Practical Advice For Surgeons” quickly became our highest-rated textbook review ever written right after publication back when Amazon first introduced Kindle Direct Publishing technology into their platform around early springtime earlier this decade [the year 2014]. What makes his guide unique amongst all other similar works currently available out there though? Well according to him himself & everyone else involved with creating said book project including myself personally speaking as well nowadays too …..it seems pretty obvious given how many people bought copies within days following launch date alone!! There must have been something special about what he had done then huh??? Definitely agreed here:)!! If nothing else though perhaps more importantly than anything else mentioned above would be simply saying thanku very much once again dudes cause yall definitely deserve recognition where appropriate due respectfully acknowledging hardwork put forth effortlessly consistently throughout entire process leading toward success ultimately achieved through dedication commitment perseverance determination resolve strength courage grit passion belief faith hope desire dream aspiration vision mission purpose calling vocational destiny etcetera. It truly takes everything working together harmony unison cooperation collaboration teamwork synergy partnership camaraderie solidarity community cohesion coordination synchronicity unity order peace balance beauty wisdom knowledge understanding clarity truth honesty integrity virtue goodness righteousness piety justice equity fairness equality opportunity chance providence grace mercy compassion generosity kindness love joy happiness health wealth prosperity security freedom liberty dignity honor purity innocence wholeness Below is a long blog post about 2016 – my first year of retirement. I wrote it to the tune of “This Is The Day” by Switchfoot, one of my favourite bands. I’m not sure when this song will be officially released as part of a new album or EP, but for now you can listen to snippets on YouTube and read some lyrics here: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/switchfoothowtofightloneliness.html The second verse goes like this (edited): I’ve been thinking in circles since we spoke last weekend at Mom & Dad’s We both gotta start somewhere, right? We can do anything if God leads us there And He has always led me so far from what everyone else says makes sense But now that I’m back home with nothing left to lose How does someone keep standing up after they fall down so many times before? Well, You know how much I love the ocean; the way she washes away all fears and doubts and shame It seems I need another reminder every time that I return again Lord, where are those miracles? Where are those moments when I am stunned into silence by Your goodness? When I feel like I have no choice but to worship? Can You show them to me today? Can You meet me out on the water? Would You just let me hold onto You until everything looks okay? I’ll stand beside You and watch the sun go down If You won’t give up then neither will I Gonna take these broken pieces and rebuild our lives together tonight I’d rather spend eternity lost than live without You forevermore So come find me Lord, cause even though sometimes it feels hopeless I still believe You’re working things together for my good If your name seems to pop regularly to the police report column for drug dealer charges there will more probability to land on you for charges of druganbu in Australia but one of most common criminal law offencies of this country especially after making several charges as drugs.
