To celebrate our ten year anniversary here in England, we decided to pen down all those memories which have flooded our minds over the last few weeks. It has been quite difficult at times because sometimes you don’t realise what impact certain events actually had until you sit back to reflect. It feels like yesterday when we first came into England - however in reality some time has passed by since then! So without further ado… here goes: We arrived from Scotland on September 2nd, 2004 after taking two planes across Europe before landing at Heathrow Airport London. We were met by my uncle (who used to live in Hertfordshire) whom took us straight home where he stayed with us for almost a week whilst we got settled into our new life in England. At that stage we did not even own beds as everything was still being shipped out from Scotland; including cars etc. My uncle also drove us around town looking for accommodation and although initially we wanted to rent somewhere privately, one night he said “looks like most rental properties require 6 months deposits up front”…that seemed pretty impossible at that point (we only had £5k in cash between both of us), hence why we ended up going private. There weren’t many options available near Northampton either. Luckily enough though, we found somewhere closeby called “Lynn” which suited perfectly well considering how limited choices existed anyway. The house was located right opposite Woburn Abbey Estate, owned by Duke Of Bedford himself – they had lots of horses running wild everywhere along their grounds!! Lynn turned out perfect fit especially considering how nice her son Dave turned out later becoming our best friend ever!!! He helped me find job while working fulltime elsewhere himself at same company based nearby. Once everything started falling together nicely during spring season 2007; it became obvious why people move abroad seeking better opportunities than staying put behind walls at old age homes waiting patiently till death knocked door shutting off light forevermore leaving nothing left behind except memories fading away slowly each passing day gone past.. In conclusion: After spending more than decade plus here now enjoying wonderful lifestyle unlike anything else could possibly offer anywhere else besides Britain itself alone….
