Below is a long blog post about 2013. I’ve been thinking of writing it for some time, but as the end of the year approaches and people begin to reflect on all that happened in this past twelve months (and start making resolutions), I figured now would be an appropriate time. I have to admit though – I didn’t really make any goals or new years resolutions at the beginning of last January; mainly because I didn’t think anything was wrong with my life, so why change? Sure there were things that needed fixing here-or-there, but overall nothing major… I’m not one who believes you need to constantly strive towards something more than what already exists right before your eyes. But then again, maybe if we did focus our energies on appreciating what currently surrounds us rather than trying to improve upon them, wouldn’t everything always just fall into place naturally without effort? The point being: don’t compare yourself to others! You will always find someone better off than themselves while simultaneously discovering somebody worse off than they are too… It goes both ways. And besides that whole “comparison” thing is pretty boring anyway since everyone eventually ends up exactly where everybody else does after enough time passes by… That said, let me go ahead and tell ya how awesome MY YEAR has gone thus far. Because its been AWESOME!! Here are ten reasons why… – I got married!!! On May 4th, 2013 to be exact [insert picture of beautiful bride]. We had such fun planning every single detail from day one until finally saying ‘I do,’ followed shortly afterwards by dancing underneath thousands of falling flower petals during our first dance song choice (which happens coincidentally also happen coincide w/my favorite band). If only more dreams could come true like these ones did!!
