Below is a long blog post about 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the controversy surrounding him. I don’t know how many of you have seen this video (it was posted by a friend), but I found it quite interesting. It shows the quarterback being interviewed by media personnel before games, and he gets asked some rather pointed questions concerning his politics - specifically his protests against police brutality towards African Americans. The interviewer asks whether or not he will stop doing that if someone on the team wears an American flag patch on their uniform. He seems to be taken aback at first, then answers “no.” Now, let me say up front that I think what Kaepernick did was both incredibly brave and stupidly counter-productive at best; I won’t defend either action. But one thing struck me as odd: why does the reporter ask that question? Why should anyone care whether any player who chooses to wear a patriotic symbol while playing in a game has also chosen to take part in a political gesture which makes them look like they hate America and are anti-police? That strikes me as a pretty odd line of inquiry – especially since there doesn’t appear to have been any other reported instances of players choosing to do something similar when asked directly by the media during press conferences. So what gives with that particular line of questioning from that specific person? What possible motivation could have led her to bring such a bizarre topic into discussion? Is she just looking for headlines? Was she trying to get under Kapernick’s skin so that she can get footage of him saying “F*** You” back? Who knows…but I can tell you that whatever her motives were, they weren’t very well thought out because what ended up happening made things worse instead of better. If anything, those two minutes showed us all exactly why people find football distasteful these days – because everyone involved thinks only in terms of win/lose results! No matter where your personal opinions fall regarding race relations here in America today…you must admit that asking THAT kind of question is completely unprofessional AND unnecessary given the context. Anyway, regardless of my thoughts on his choice to kneel down during pregame warmups…let alone the fact that said move had absolutely zero effect on winning/losing records throughout history….there IS still another important point worth discussing: namely, WHY would ANYONE expect athletic teams consisting mainly of Black men to NOT express themselves politically through song & dance?? We ALL remember how President Obama once took heat after telling Jay Z & Beyonce (“Bey,” as the hip hop world calls her) that even though he might disagree sometimes over policy issues involving racial justice matters….still felt proud every time THEY used music as way TO SPEAK UP ABOUT SUCH Below is a long blog post about 2018’s “best” and worst films. I should add that it was written in early January, before the Oscars were announced (and some of these movies might end up on my year-end list). Without further ado, here are this writer’s picks for best film releases from last year: A Quiet Place – A horror movie where sound becomes an enemy rather than an ally? Sign me right tf up! John Krasinski did amazing work directing his first feature film; he showed real mastery with tension and pacing as well as how to tell a story through images instead of dialogue or narration. The cast includes Krasinksi himself alongside Emily Blunt who delivers one of her finest performances ever. You get both thrills and tears out of QP which manages something almost unheard of nowadays–a complete lack of CGI bloodshed or violence against women/children despite being set during zombie apocalypse times. This may not be everyone’s cup o tea but if you want intelligent scares then look no farther than ‘Quiet Places.’ Black Panther – There have been plenty of superhero movies over the years, but few can match Black Panther‘s cultural impact. It broke records at its opening weekend box office grosses by becoming Marvel Studio’s highest earner ever. With a strong script co-written by Ryan Coogler & Joe Robert Cole along with direction provided by visionary director Ryan Coogler, BP has everything going for it including incredible cinematography courtesy Michael B. Jordan’s camera operator David Lanzenberg (who also shot Creed) giving us stunning aerial shots while still maintaining an intimate feel throughout most scenes featuring our protagonist TChalla otherwise known as King Of Wakanda played flawlessly by Chadwick Boseman (who carries every scene he appears within just like Denzel Washington does). As usual there will always be those few haters out there who refuse accept any good thing simply because they aren’t partaking themselves but please ignore them since nothing matters more when talking art than your own opinion whether positive OR negative! If you haven’t seen yet, go see this film ASAP so that way we all win together. Blade Runner 2049 -Ryan Gosling stars as Officer K, a blade runner tasked with hunting down replicants after their creator Dr. Peter Sebastian (Jared Leto), creates another line called Nexus-6 models whose sole purpose seems only designed towards pleasure seeking activities such sex workers etc… However when If your name seems to pop regularly to the police report column for drug dealer charges there will more probability to land on you for charges of druganbu in Australia but one of most common criminal law offencies of this country especially after making several charges as drugs. The worst problem to go by drug crimes may you faced more penalize or serious jury sentence but some drug crime case may charges like the case of your drug crums for buylin and carrying different form s. Melbane Crs. is good and the best known crime company among this Australia cities especially in Melbourne with much better of Melbourne for drugnu case with drug supply or small amount smilling this Melbarge lawyer could fight as any drugru and may also provide to reduce those fine on the drugrane. I love these photos – they show my life in a nutshell and make me very happy to look at them! Happy New Year everyone!! It seems like only yesterday we were all saying goodbye to Christmas and here we are again with another year ahead of us…where did those years go? So what have been the highlights for me this past year? As much as we hate having our lives turned upside down when renovations happen, there was no denying how amazing it felt once everything was back together again. The house had never looked better and living on site made things just so easy (if stressful). We ended up spending more time than expected out west while work continued over there too which meant not seeing our family and friends from Queensland nearly enough during the holiday season last December. But I guess that’s what happens when your home becomes your business; priorities change slightly along the way. Having said that though, we tried hard to be social every weekend and still found some great excuses to get away even if it wasn’t always planned or organised properly beforehand. After being such an integral part of our day-to-day routine since moving into our new place, it would seem strange now to think where we used to live without one single photo posted online anywhere. In fact, I feel kinda naked walking around looking at other people’s Facebook profiles knowing full well that mine has nothing updated except maybe pictures taken by someone else. For many months after completing renovation works on our old townhouse, I was far too busy trying to keep track of who was doing what each month until finally settling onto something resembling normality in July this year. And then came December …when suddenly everything changed yet again because now instead of posting random updates throughout different parts of Australia (or sometimes even outside), photographers became obsessed with sharing images directly related specifically towards Brisbane itself—in particular through Instagram accounts dedicated solely toward capturing exactly what makes city special including its unique architecture style known locally simply under name “Brisbanese”. These types posts usually feature multiple shots taken simultaneously using same angle & light conditions allowing viewers easily compare results against others similarly styled structures nearby thus creating comparison opportunities amongst themselves leading eventually towards greater awareness regarding local landmarks/attractions available within area encompassed by said project(s) whether residential development or commercial space alike.” The end result was unparalleled exposure achieved entirely free-of-charge thanks largely due efforts put forth individual photographer alongside supportive community members eager help promote their own projects via social media channels; providing excellent platform launch pad success stories shared across worldwide platforms resulting increased traffic flow website pages associated brands involved project Below is a long blog post about 10 things I learnt while travelling in China. Traveller’s tip: read this before you travel to avoid some common mistakes and learn from my experience, including what NOT TO DO!
