This was mostly because I had many other tasks which took priority over programming (like getting married). However, I did manage to work out all the major mechanics. Aside from the core gameplay, here’s what has been implemented: I am now able to display any type of object (e.g., food items) on the screen with textures and animations. For example, these are some food items currently being displayed: The player can consume them at will and they do give him energy when consumed.
