Below is a long blog post about 2017, the year of our Lord. It’s not so much for you as it is me to look back on what we did this past year and reminisce over some of my favorite memories with friends old and new! April was filled with birthdays: mine (4/3), Nicole’s (4/6) & Chelsea’s (4/9). We celebrated all three girls together at The Cheesecake Factory where I got to try their Miso Glazed Salmon again - DELICIOUS!!! My gift from Nicole that day included lots of pink things because she knows how much I love them. Later in April we went out to lunch with her husband Brian who had been away visiting his family. A few days later he returned home after being gone for two weeks! In May we took advantage of a sunny Sunday afternoon by driving out to Los Angeles to meet up with my sister Tanya. She has lived there since September 2016 working as an Executive Assistant and Personal Trainer. We met up for dinner near LAX before heading off to see Hamilton which is playing at the Pantages Theatre through July 1st. This show is amazing!! Afterwards, we made another stop downtown to check out LA Live then headed back toward Hollywood Hills via Melrose Avenue. On Mother’s Day weekend we spent time with our families but also had fun making mimosas and eating breakfast foods like bacon, sausage, eggs and hash browns. In June we finally got around to going camping with friends. One thing led to another until eventually it became too hot outside and everyone started getting tired or sick. So instead, we stayed inside and watched movies while relaxing under air conditioning! At least someone enjoyed themselves ;) The next month brought more trips including one with Jenna’s mom Kimberly who flew down here specifically just to spend four nights with us during Labor Day Weekend! During those few days alone without kids we were able to explore different parts of town such as Santa Monica Pier; Venice Beach Boardwalk plus other local attractions. Another highlight would be seeing “Mamma Mia!” live musical production starring Christine Baranski. Toward the end summer began winding down quickly though not before taking part in several festivities alongside close relatives especially Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by Aunt Kathy followed immediately afterward with Christmas Eve Service at Church Of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints (LDS)! Finally came New Year celebrations held every last Friday evening prior December Holiday season ending officially upon arrival early morning Saturday January first twenty nineteen thus concluding previous twelve months passing swiftly into following years future adventures yet unknown.
