on YouTube and so this

Below is a long blog post about 2016. This was the year I finally figured out how to make money on YouTube, and so this will be my final post for YouTube. It has been fun but it’s time to move onto other projects. Thank you all who have supported me over these past few years! You are an amazing group of people!!! Below is a long blog post about 2014, and I’ve tried to condense it down into this summary. I was on the road for four months in Europe (France) then the USA (Maine), and had my first ever solo trip around Australia with some friends. There were also many more trips within NSW too – Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra… but still not enough! After travelling so much over 2013/14 I didn’t travel at all for most of January-April 2015 before heading off again. And so that cycle continues. As you can see from the map below though, there has been quite a bit of travelling since December 2014: Click image above or here to open large version in new tab/window The following sections are summaries of the year divided up by month. The next section will be general highlights. January started out as usual with a few days backpacking across Northern Victoria and Southern NSW after Christmas day. My friend Ben came along for the weekend which we spent exploring Mount Buffalo National Park near Bright before continuing onto Halls Gap and Grampians NP where we did a couple of walks including one to Boroka Lookout just outside Dunkeld. Next stop was Great Ocean Road, with a detour via Wilsons Promontory NP in South Eastern VIC to complete the coastal circuit. We stayed in Apollo Bay for two nights, spending our last afternoon walking through rainforest along Erskine Falls track then returning via Mariners lookout before heading south towards Melbourne. It poured throughout the entire journey home, with a lot of traffic delays between Geelong and Melbourne due to flooding. In February I went camping on Norfolk Island with my mum & sister who joined me midway through my time there. This was an amazing experience and a great way to spend quality family time together away from everyday life. There wasn’t a whole heap of hiking or adventuring done during these weeks however; mostly socialising and relaxation activities like swimming and beach combing. For March, I decided to explore another island destination instead of going overseas – Lord Howe Island. I had previously visited LHI once before in 2009 when I stayed in the main settlement area called “Neds Beach” and only saw what is now known as Old Settlement trail / Muttonbird Cliffs walk. However, this time round I made sure I got to visit everything else there is to do and see while staying for almost three full weeks. All those years ago the idea of being able to live independently and affordably for such a lengthy period of time without any regular jobs would have seemed impossible compared to today – although living simply certainly helps.

Below is a long blog post about 2016 and what’s to come. I wrote this for my team at the beginning of January, but it feels like more than ever people would benefit from reading these words right now so they can reflect on their year as we enter into another one that will be filled with change. We are halfway through our fiscal year and have just completed a quarterly planning cycle where each member of the team has thoughtfully reflected upon his or her own personal goals in relation to our collective work towards the greater good. It’s been an intense few months since our last update; there was lots of learning along the way (as always) but also some great progress made around how we operate together as well—and even bigger things happening externally! We continue working hard every day not only because everyone wants us all here doing good things-but also because you guys keep showing up time after time again despite whatever challenges may arise within any given month/quarter etcetera… Read More »What Have You Accomplished? Below is a long blog post about 10-year mortgage rates and how they are now at historic lows. What do you think? Do you plan to take advantage of the low interest rate environment, or will it be more affordable in six months when we have some better clarity on what’s happening with COVID-19?
