Below is a long blog post about 4D. I have to confess that, like most people who are not engineers or scientists, my knowledge of physics begins and ends with Newtonian mechanics (F=ma). As such, some of the following may be hard for me to understand even as an engineer but I’ll do my best in any case… The article below comes from Discover magazine. It was written by David Shiga at http://www.discovermagazine.com/d-print/2013/march-april/how-to-time-travel/. The original source can also be found here: http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/notrocketscience/2013/02/19/timetraveling-blackholes/#.UWpQE7iJLx8 This week on Not Rocket Science we meet theoretical physicist Sean Carroll, whose new book Time Travel in Einstein’s Universe explores what would happen if you really did travel back into time using relativity theory - which says space and time warps around massive objects. You could visit your past self before he existed! If someone asked you whether it were possible to go back in time, you might think they meant travelling overseas or just making a trip down memory lane – going through old photograph albums, looking up names on Facebook etc.. But actually this isn’t what it means when science fiction writers talk about “time travel”. Scientifically speaking, true time travel is travelling backwards along our own timeline – so instead of revisiting events that happened days ago, weeks ago, years ago, decades ago, millennia ago; you’re experiencing something entirely different altogether. Your mind has already experienced these things and the future is still to come, yet somehow you find yourself living them all again – backwards. This kind of thing sounds completely insane until you consider how weird time itself already seems. It doesn’t seem real right? So yes, scientifically speaking you don’t necessarily need a De Lorean equipped with flux capacitors, to make it possible. All you require is sufficient energy to bend spacetime enough to warp its curvature across the entire universe. That’s why black holes act like portals through time. They’ve got more than enough mass and density to twist reality around into anything imaginable. In fact, according to general relativity, black holes are capable of throwing us forward through time too. What else is gravity if not a force that pulls everything towards itself, including light waves themselves? Sooner or later, everything must eventually fall victim to gravitational attraction – except perhaps neutron stars which are theoretically able to rotate fast enough to defy death forever. Even though they spin rapidly however, no one knows quite where Below is a long blog post about 1) the development of The Birthday Party, and its connections to the rest of my work; 2) some thoughts on why I was so drawn to this play when starting out in theatre. (I’d love your feedback here too). And finally: 3) My own personal reflections from the last four years working with the show as an actor/director for Fragile Productions, and what it has meant to me personally and professionally. This is also the first time that I have ever written something publicly about how much the play means to me – hence all the personal reflection. It has been very cathartic! The Birthday Party - Theatrical Origins A Brief History Of My Relationship With Harold Pinter’s ‘BIRTHDAY PARTY" Below is a long blog post about 2016-17. The short version: I started the year at L’Oreal, which was an amazing opportunity I will always be grateful for – it stretched my skills and helped me find who I am as a designer in the world of big business (and what that means). But by February, after some very difficult decisions, I had left to join AstraZeneca on their first ever Product Design team where we were tasked with designing a new way to make healthcare products available to people around the globe; this involved lots of workshops, research trips and creating prototypes to test our ideas against real users. In September I went freelance but sadly due to visa issues I couldn’t continue working remotely so had to move back home from London to Manchester - thankfully there are plenty more opportunities here! And finally during December/January period I worked part time doing UX & UI design along side another role whilst also managing multiple projects across two different countries…it got pretty crazy towards end :/. Overall though its been one helluva ride and would never change anything if given chance again :) So thanks everyone who has supported me throughout these past twelve months!! You know who you all are xoxo Below is a long blog post about 2016’s biggest tech innovations. I am glad to announce that I have joined the advisory board of Senseye Ltd, an innovative company developing artificial intelligence software for predictive maintenance and health monitoring in industrial applications (http://www.senseye.com/). Below is a long blog post about 1950s British comics, but I’ve taken the liberty of extracting it into separate posts so that you don’t have to wade through all this if you are not interested. It was published on my old blog in November last year and has been edited slightly for clarity. The 1940s were an exciting time for children’s comic books: there had never been anything quite like them before! At least, nothing with such colourful artwork or gripping storylines…and certainly no other kids’ paperback magazines which could be read over and again – as many times as we liked - by boys (or girls) who loved reading adventure stories at bedtime. The new wave of comics also included annuals filled with short-story collections from popular authors such as Enid Blyton and Noel Vindin; each book containing upwards of fifty tales. These were often sold individually rather than collected in sets. But even these paperback books couldn’t compete with their colourful counterparts for sheer If your name seems to pop regularly to the police report column for drug dealer charges there will more probability to land on you for charges of druganbu in Australia but one of most common criminal law offencies of this country especially after making several charges as drugs.
