I’ve been writing and publishing online for over five years now, with my first posts dating back to September of 2009 (which were actually pretty terrible). Back then it was just me talking into the void, but as time went on more people began visiting this site and following along. It has taken some serious trial-and-error learning experiences, along with lots of lucky breaks too – like getting featured by Lifehacker and Gizmodo early on — before I started making any money at all from my efforts here. As someone who doesn’t have an engineering or computer science background, figuring out how best to monetize websites can be difficult; especially when you don’t know what type of audience would pay $5/month for access behind a paywall! However after nearly two decades working fulltime jobs that never really excited me very much except maybe once every few months during busy seasons where there weren’t enough hours available each day due mostly because most businesses shut down around midnight every night anyway so no one wanted anything done right away since everyone else had already gone home without having worked them either…yeah well guess which year ended up being better than expected overall? That’s right–the good old days are officially over folks! So here we are on January first of the new year and I’m sitting with my head in my hands as usual trying to figure out how to do everything at once while having no idea what the heck I am doing most of the time. The one thing that has been constant over this whole past year was the fact that I have had so much fun being me! It’s weird because when people ask “How did your trip go?” they don’t really understand just how incredible it felt or even the way that it made me feel inside every day for all those months traveling around by myself without anyone telling me where to be, who to see or anything like that… but rather than explain any further about what happened during these adventures (because I honestly think there isn’t enough space left online) let me try giving some examples instead… Here goes nothing:

• The moment where after three weeks riding motorbikes across India alone from New Delhi up north through Rajasthan into Nepal then back down again until finally arriving home feeling completely exhausted yet exhilarated beyond belief; only later realizing how lucky I actually were considering many others would never get another chance like mine ever again due mainly because their own countries weren’t ready accept such an experience - something worth living through regardless.. I want to share the high points of our year with you and hope that others will be inspired by what we have been able to accomplish this past year. It hasn’t always been easy for us and sometimes it has felt like we are running in place; however, we continue to move forward even if at times very slowly. We started out January with a wonderful trip to Hawaii where my husband won several ribbons on his surfboard! He was riding waves up to 7 feet tall—quite an achievement considering he only had learned how to ride the smaller waves last summer. We enjoyed every minute being together as well as taking advantage of some fabulous dinners prepared by my sister-in-law, Karen Kelley (a professional chef). She also gave me two of her cookbooks which I absolutely love! The first one is “The Modern Slow Cooker” and the second book she wrote herself called “Fresh Flavors Fast”. While visiting California Karen met another friend who happens to live right across from the beach here so they spent time walking along the shore collecting seashells, eating ice cream cones and relaxing under a huge umbrella overlooking the ocean. One afternoon while walking around Long Beach we stumbled upon some artwork created by homeless people using recycled materials such as license plates, bottle caps, can lids etc.. Some were quite intricate and beautifully crafted. This got me thinking about making jewellery out of reclaimed items myself because it seems wasteful to throw away perfectly good bits when something else could easily be made from them instead!
