Below is a long blog post about 40+ ways to improve the performance of your web applications. You can either read it below, or you could download and save this PDF version. In the past few years we have been lucky enough to work with some very interesting clients from around the world who are committed to their online businesses success; in fact these days most companies view themselves as an ‘online’ company. Many developers nowadays know what the acronym FPT stands for (First Page Ranking) which tells us that speed is one important factor when developing web sites/applications – not only does having fast response times reduce the time users need to wait on loading pages but also Google has started using page load speeds in its search rankings. Having worked across many different development teams over the last several years I would like to share my experience regarding best practices for building faster websites. So here goes! A quick disclaimer before getting into this topic: This article will focus primarily on client-side optimizations such as HTML minification, CSS compression and image optimization. There are also quite a lot more server side optimisations available however they are outside the scope of this blog entry. If interested please check out other articles at W3Schools, Smashing Magazine or Web Performance.com. All links are provided below. The following list provides information based on my own experiences of working with various development teams over the course of the last five years. Some of these tips may seem obvious however sometimes we forget how much impact small improvements can make. When starting any project, whether big or small always ensure that there is sufficient documentation explaining exactly what all of the functionality within each file actually does otherwise you might end up making changes without knowing if those changes affect anything else in the site or application being developed. Always try to avoid unnecessary use of inline styles since this will result in slower rendering due to browser repaints. It is better practice to use classes instead wherever possible so that you do not have to repeat yourself unnecessarily throughout multiple files. Try to keep your css clean by only including selectors specific to their targeted element(s). Avoid adding things just because they “might” be useful somewhere down the line – remember KISS principle? Keep It Simple Stupid!!! Ensure you include all necessary css files first then follow them with js files. The reason behind this simple technique is that although browsers tend to order scripts relative to where they appear inside the html document, the same cannot usually be said about style sheets. Since the priority rule applies to both, it makes sense to place script tags after the link tag so that even if external css files are loaded later than expected, the scripts won’t fail. When dealing with large projects make sure to split up css into separate files per section rather than combining everything together into single file. Also try to avoid putting images directly inside elements unless absolutely needed. Below is a long blog post about 42 things I learned in the first year of my life as an entrepreneur. But, instead of reading it now you can download this PDF and read it later. There are many great business books out there but most don’t tell us how to do what we want them to. They show us the destination without telling us where to begin or how to get there from here. We need these stories that make sense for our lives if they truly inspire change. These are some of mine! Below is a long blog post about 10 of the best online dating sites for people over 50. I’ve used most of them (for different periods), and I can say that they all work well, but some are better than others if you want to meet local seniors in your area. Therefore this article will cover: Which one(s) should be avoided at any cost? And why… The pros & cons of each site so you know what to expect before signing up! You won’t regret reading it because these sites have helped thousands of men & women like yourself find love again after divorce or widowhood…and even when their friends said “it was too late”!!! #1 eHarmony - The Best Overall Site For People Over 50 To Find Love Online eHarmony has been around since 2000 and is widely considered as one of the first major dating websites on earth – back then there were no smartphones yet nor apps either so everyone had to use desktop computers instead which made things harder overall due mainly because not every computer owner could afford buying new hardware just only once per year whereas today almost everybody owns multiple devices such tablets/laptops etc., making communication easier across borders without having leave home much less travel far away from where we live currently living within our community itself … Whenever someone mentions “online dating”, my mind immediately goes to two options: Match and OKCupid. Both seem equally popular among singles looking for serious relationships; however, according to recent statistics released by Statista Inc., Match is actually more popular than its counterpart with an estimated total number of monthly users being 4 million compared to Okcupids who clocked nearly three times lower figure i.e., roughly 750 thousand members worldwide at present time period mentioned above herein referred earlier). So clearly speaking nowadays both platforms provide similar services though still remain distinctive enough despite sharing same conceptual approach towards providing assistance regarding finding suitable partner online through website interface itself rather than meeting person face-to-face during real life encounters between individuals seeking romantic involvement together ultimately resulting into marriage proposal followed closely behind wedding ceremony later down road ahead ushering forth blissful years spent happily ever afterwards :) Now let me tell u something else interesting factoid about matchmaking industry especially those involving mature age range population segment comprising mostly senior citizens searching out possible partners whom might prove compatible fit alongside other demographic parameters set aside thus ensuring safe healthy environment friendly atmosphere free from potential hazards including physical violence sexual harassment discrimination based sole grounds identity politics gender preferences race creeds background beliefs orientation choices lifestyles habits hobbies interests passions goals aspirations dreams desires wishes fantasies ideas visions missions purposes objectives targets destinations routes directions paths Below is a long blog post about 2016. I have to say it was the best year of my life so far! It has been one adventure after another, and while some things were really hard like losing both parents last summer (and all that came with that) there were also many great moments in between – here are just a few… January: My second marathon ever, New York City Marathon, where I had the most amazing experience running through Manhattan on 5th Ave for the first time together with my two favorite people in the world at that moment: my husband and daughter who cheered me along every step of the way. Also got to meet up again with friends from high school as well as make new ones including an awesome group of Germans who ended up being our tour guides during a trip later this month. February/March: Trip to Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam which included visiting Angkor Wat Temple Complex in Siem Reap, cruising around Halong Bay offshore Hanoi plus spending days exploring Ho Chi Minh city before flying back home via Hong Kong airport where we did not get out until almost midnight due to flight delays caused by Typhoon Damrey hitting southern China earlier than expected resulting in strong winds closing down Macau International Airport temporarily affecting more flights arriving late into Hong Kong causing further complications leading us finally making it onto connecting ferry bound across Victoria Harbour only minutes away from departure time! All these unforeseen events meant lots of extra waiting around but still managed enjoy spectacular views over bustling harbourside activities below deck aboard Hong Kong Express Ferries despite getting If your name seems to pop regularly to the police report column for drug dealer charges there will more probability to land on you for charges of druganbu in Australia but one of most common criminal law offencies of this country especially after making several charges as drugs. The first few times we see someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, our primary reaction may be one of surprise or shock — “why would this happen to him? Isn’t he young enough?” We often assume there must be something wrong in their life (or our own) because they were afflicted by such an illness. This is especially true if the person happens to be a friend or family member. When dealing with a loved one, we tend to attribute his condition as being somehow related to us. It can even bring up feelings from childhood where we blamed ourselves when others suffered adversity; “If only…” and other counterproductive thoughts that keep us stuck instead of helping those suffering through difficult circumstances. As professionals working with people on their spiritual journeys, it’s helpful to understand what makes each individual unique so we can better connect with them. The following list contains fifteen statements that will help readers reflect more deeply upon themselves: not how others perceive them, nor how society deems appropriate behavior, rather it describes your personal truth-of-the-moment. These statements are intended as guides, like a road map, to discovering yourself. There are no right answers, just opportunities to grow in awareness of self. Each statement presents two possible responses for consideration. Some questions invite reflection while others require immediate action. In either case, these statements represent tools you can use during any moment of stillness to enhance your conscious connection with spirit. Use whichever ones resonate for you at different stages of growth.
