And then there are even bigger questions around whether or not you actually want your work documented like this… What is a “hand held” 3D Scanner? A “Hand Held Scanner“is basically any type of portable machine which captures three dimensional data from objects in its environment using optical sensors such as laser rangefinders or stereo cameras combined with computer vision algorithms running on embedded processors inside small computers attached directly onto each sensor unit.
