sure many of you will

Below is a long blog post about 15 things I learned while being an unpaid intern for the summer. I’m sure many of you will be familiar with this scenario: You just graduated, and in addition to finding a job (which can take months), you have to find a place where they are willing to let you do it without paying you anything. It happens every year at universities all over Canada; hundreds of students graduate each spring hoping that by fall they will land one of these coveted positions. However, what most don’t know until too late is how difficult landing such an opportunity really is – especially if your experience isn’t paid work or volunteerism. In fact there were so few opportunities available during my time as a student writer here on campus which made me realize something very important…if someone wants YOU then why won’t anyone else give them some money? That’s right-the only reason people ever hire writers who aren’t getting paid any cash upfront would seemingly indicate either their complete lack knowledge when it comes down understanding value proposition OR maybe even worse yet fearfulness towards taking risks despite knowing full well what exactly makes sense financially speaking under current circumstances given everything considered etc.. But regardless whatever may occur between those lines remains unknown unless we start asking ourselves different kinds questions instead focusing solely upon our own personal needs desires preferences tastes etceteraetcetra So now onto more pressing matters like learning from mistakes past present future etceteraetceteraetceteraetceteraecteraecteraecte…so uh yeah anyway moving along quickly onto what actually happened next since apparently nobody has been reading thus far except myself due mostly likely because everyone knows already what kind stuff works best online lol no offense intended but still not cool guys seriously yall need help though okay?? Alrighty then shall proceed accordingly!! 2) Be prepared for disappointment, rejection and failure. The first thing I realized was that it wasn’t going to happen fast—and sometimes not at all! This means you should plan ahead before submitting applications or resumes/cover letters anywhere near deadline dates (or close enough). When applying through websites like Indeed or LinkedIn Job Search Engine sites make sure you put together several versions of yourself depending on what type application form asks specific fields related specifically toward candidate profiles rather than general ones including education background professional affiliations experiences qualifications skills interests passions motivators goals aspirations ambitions values belief systems personality traits talents abilities strengths weaknessess challenges obstacles issues barriers limitations shortcomings disadvantages setbacks problems adversity hindrances blocks difficulties frustrations hurdles roadblocks dilemmas paradoxes conundrums quandaries stalemates gridlocks impasses snarls knots entanglements tangled webs knotty Below is a long blog post about 2016. I am writing this while on the beach in sunny, beautiful Mexico! It was an awesome year to be sure and here’s why: I met my wife in May of last year when we were both working at Google. A couple months ago she decided that it would be best for us if her husband, who lives in Canada with their three kids left his family. She has been taking care of him since he had surgery almost two years ago now but it got too much as they all live under one roof together and there just wasn’t enough time or energy between work, schooling herself (she went back to University after not attending since highschool), being mommy/housewife plus helping take care of Dad every day so she made a tough decision which ultimately ended up blessing me and our relationship even more than ever before because… Read More » Below is a long blog post about 1967 - the year of my birth. I have tried to stick fairly closely to my original idea, but it has changed somewhat as time went on and more information became available (and some things were found not be true). As with all such posts you may find that this one gets longer in places than others, so if you want to read something shorter just scroll down until your patience gives out or you see an image/link which interests you! In fact I would like to point people at specific paragraphs rather then making them wade through loads of stuff they do not care for, but somehow this does not seem possible within Wordpress’ capabilities … perhaps someone will explain how I can improve? I shall probably continue adding bits from time-to-time - especially when doing further research into individual topics covered herein. This should really be split up into separate pages covering various aspects of interest, but currently seems too big and unwieldy for anyone except myself to cope with. It could also end up being way beyond most peoples’ attention spans … and that might prove embarrassing given that some parts are quite personal. This was originally intended as a simple short summary based upon my own experiences mixed with what I knew of my parents’, siblings’ etc., background; plus relevant facts gleaned elsewhere – i.e. Wikipedia entries &c.. However since writing started late last night (20th October) there has been much material added thanks to other sources which have proved very interesting indeed: e.g. John Keeble’s fascinating book “The Cutting Edge” regarding his service record during 1943-57 [see below]; Martin Jenkinson’s excellent website http://www.jenningsonsofdartmouth.com/, including details of the Jenningson family tree back to 800AD; and numerous references within The Dartmoor Project webpages by many members who have contributed details relating to their ancestors residing locally and who served both before and after WWII. Too much for me to summarise now. So far only part two of three sections dealing with 1967 have been written (plus the beginning of section four), but even these are already well over 3k words and there is still lots missing. Therefore, whilst I must try to get everything finished soonish, I think we need to go ahead with splitting each page into manageable chunks. Also, I hope this article may encourage others to write about themselves and their families in order to help fill in any blanks left in local history due to lack of records etc.; hopefully providing a unique insight into our past. I’m posting it in two parts, because otherwise my internet service will slow to a crawl or worse when the page loads. You can click on “read more” at any time if you want to get past this part of the story. Part Two is here: https://johnault.wordpress.com/2015/04/30/rock-and-roll-history-part-two/. This weekend we went back into the 1960s with the Beach Boys and The Beatles for the first time since December (see below). We also listened to some new releases from today’s artists that were influenced by classic rock groups such as Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd. It was an enjoyable trip down memory lane. For me anyway! But how much do people remember from their youth? Are they able to recall every single song that came out during those years? If so, maybe these were formative times. A golden age? Or something like that. Maybe there are even certain songs one hears occasionally nowadays that bring up feelings associated with events in our lives. So what might have been important to us once upon a time still affects us sometimes later on in life. At least I hope it does. And maybe not just music but other things too. Here are four albums from last year released by bands who are strongly inspired by The Beatles. These guys aren’t trying to copy them exactly; rather they’re using elements of their sound combined with contemporary sounds to come up with unique songs. You may recognize some familiar riffs, chords and melodies but put together differently than before. It makes sense though – why would anyone think it’d be cool to make exactly same thing again after all these decades? I really enjoyed listening to these CDs and I could definitely see myself buying copies sometime soon. They reminded me of days gone by, although I wasn’t around for most of the original group’s career. All three of the above bands had hits way back then which brought them fame worldwide and helped shape modern culture forevermore. Although none of them achieved anything close to comparable success anymore today…but let’s face facts folks — nobody ever does unless lucky enough to break through somehow via social media marketing strategies etc.. We listened to six classic albums from the 60s & early 70s this morning while driving home from work yesterday afternoon—all good stuff except possibly Paul McCartney’s Red Rose Speedway LP where Wings were clearly attempting hard rockers without quite succeeding yet despite having two singles released off said album including “My Love”. Still overall pretty decent effort imo worth checking out sometime should you find yourself bored wrt available options currently playing Below is a long blog post about 2018’s top-tier of the FLW Tour, written by an unnamed Bassmaster staff member who has been watching every single minute of these guys and gals on camera over the last six months. You can find the full article HERE (which includes many photos), but I wanted to share some highlights with you here: “Aaron Martens was so good during his first half dozen years as a pro that he once won five tournaments in one calendar year while competing against only pros. In recent seasons, however, “The Golden Child” had not fared nearly as well against a growing field of international anglers, even though he still led all other Americans at times.” He also talks about how Aaron has been fishing different lakes lately than most people do - which is why they weren’t sure what would happen when he finally returned to Florida this week… “I think there are some things going on out west that have really made me better,” said Martens after Day One of the Kissimmee Chain event presented by Polaris RANGER and Mercury Marine. “Honestly, it was probably a little bit humbling for me because the way we were doing business wasn’t working anymore.” And then later he writes…… “Martens finished fifth behind four anglers from Sweden — Joakim Lekberg, Patrik Sjölander, David Dudley and Jacob Wheeler — proving once again just how much America’s best bass catchers now need to adapt their game plans to compete internationally if they want another chance to win major championships.”
