Below is a long blog post about 66 pages. I’m breaking it into two parts: Part One and Part Two. The first half covers the history of the Wilderness Act, the second how to get your kids involved in the WILD ACTIVITIES! I have taken my children on many trips since their birth (including a trip down the Grand Canyon with them when they were only three months old). All these experiences are amazing because you never know what will happen or who we might meet along the way but there was always something missing for me…..a sense of purpose to our travels. When I learned that Congress had passed an act protecting public lands as “Wild Areas” it made perfect sense that this would be one of those activities we could share together – so, even though my older son has been working at the National Park Service doing trail construction/maintenance and my younger son loves being outdoors in nature; neither knew much about this piece of legislation which has protected wilderness areas like Yosemite Valley, Glacier Bay Alaska, Everglades Florida and millions more acres across America. So, here goes …..Part 1 History Lessons: How did Wild Areas come about? Why should anyone care about preserving land for future generations? What can families do if they want to experience wild places? This article gives some answers by connecting the past to present through the story of four teenagers from Denver Colorado in the late 50’s and early 60’s whose passionate commitment led to a monumental change in national policy towards our natural resources. In the mid-twentieth century, American culture began a transition away from agrarian communities based upon self-sufficiency toward urban centers dependent upon mass production. As rural life became less appealing due to modernization, industrial pollution, suburban sprawl, chemical farming practices and loss of traditional livelihoods, thousands of people moved off family homesteads onto city streets seeking new opportunities. However, during the same time period, Americans also began rediscovering the beauty and spirituality found in the country’s vast wilderness lands. The Outdoor Recreational Movement came alive throughout the nation beginning around World War II after returning soldiers sought ways to reconnect themselves with nature once again. By the end of the decade, numerous organizations advocating recreational use of federal lands formed including such groups as Backpacker Magazine and Sierra Club. Although hiking, camping, hunting fishing etc. were popular pursuits among Americans, many still viewed the untamed landscape surrounding cities as dangerous or unsightly areas best left alone. But a small group of young men from Denver Colorado refused to accept society’s viewpoint concerning “wastelands.” They believed that undeveloped lands held great value Below is a long blog post about 15 minutes of my life. I’m not sure if this will be interesting to you or even what it really means…but there are some things that have been on my mind lately and maybe something in here can help someone else out as well. I had the most amazing day today. There were so many highlights, but one thing stands above all others: seeing my friend and former roommate Joshua for the first time since college graduation nearly five years ago. Josh was probably my best man when I got married last year — he put up with me during our senior year at Covenant College (he never would admit it publicly). He introduced me to Sufjan Stevens’ “Come Thou Fount” CD which quickly became part of our lives together and then later on became an important song at the wedding ceremony itself. We spent hours upon hours talking through issues, praying for each other, challenging each other spiritually and intellectually. The list goes on and on, but suffice it to say we’ve grown into two very different men than those who met freshman year at CC. When his family moved back to California after college though, our relationship sorta ended. It wasn’t like either of us wanted it to end; we just let school take over. Since our senior weekend, we haven’t talked much until now. Today, however, God brought him right across from where I sit writing this! Here’s how it happened… My wife Amy and I went down to Santa Monica earlier today to pick up her new car. She decided she wants a Mini Cooper convertible next month (!!!) and bought it off Craigslist. So we drove down there in our old mini-van, loaded up the MINI, took photos, checked everything thoroughly, made arrangements for the transfer of title/registration info, etc., etc.. It should arrive by Friday morning. Very exciting stuff actually. In fact, tomorrow I plan to drive around town with no top while listening to the music on the radio. Afterward, we headed toward Venice Beach for dinner. Amy has known the owner of Cafe Gratitude forever because they both worked at Echo Park Restaurants before I came along – so their friendship dated back several more years prior to that. While driving past the beach side diner, Amy said, “Let’s go eat.” Of course being Amy, she meant literally instead of figuratively. I told her I couldn’t stop in because the place didn’t look open yet. But she wouldn’t listen, and so she convinced me that we could walk inside once we parked. As I walked towards the entranceway, I spotted a couple people sitting outside having drinks. One guy looked familiar, but nothing jumped out at me. Then another person joined them, Below is a long blog post about 2018-Q3, which I’ve split into two posts. In this one we look at the big picture: why were they bad? What did things like inflation and interest rates have to do with it? How did my portfolio perform? In part 2 (coming soon), we get more specific and talk in detail about stocks that did well or badly over the quarter, where some of those gains came from and what might happen next… Below is a long blog post about 40 of the best, most famous quotes from The Chronicles Of Narnia. I hope you like it and find them inspiring! The Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S Lewis was first published in 1950 with ‘The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe’ being one of seven books in total (it has been updated to include all these stories as well). They have become very popular over time but they are also still relevant today because so many people can relate their own lives to the stories – especially children and teenagers who read this fantasy/adventure book for entertainment. This quote reminds us that we should always be looking outwards instead of just thinking only within our own minds or even worse: ourselves alone which would mean no real happiness at all since there would never really exist anything else besides yourself; hence why everyone needs someone special enough who will love him regardless if he ever does something wrong again afterward (because sometimes mistakes happen due course). Here another great quote comes along saying “Therefore, whether thou eatest or drinkest, do all unto God.” This basically means that everything we do should ultimately benefit those around us rather than just doing things purely based off selfishness without considering others involved too much otherwise nothing good could come back down upon us when needed later on somewhere further ahead into life itself somehow eventually someday hopefully maybe possibly…eventually???. In conclusion then finally now let me summarize here briefly once last time before ending this entire article altogether soon right away immediately next quickly fast rapidly soon-to-come future times ahead yada yada blah blah blah boo hoo cry wah! Now go out an explore your worlds some more!! Goodbye!!! “You don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow” is such a powerful line because it speaks directly towards not knowing what fate holds for any person or thing at every given moment throughout each day until nightfall occurs afterwards before dawn arrives early morning hours later next day morning yet again etc.. It shows how important living life fully through experiences while keeping an open mind ready willing able excitedly anticipating possibilities whenever possible during moments like these where uncertainty reign supreme If your name seems to pop regularly to the police report column for drug dealer charges there will more probability to land on you for charges of druganbu in Australia but one of most common criminal law offencies of this country especially after making several charges as drugs. It’s written by my friend, colleague and fellow 3DP enthusiast Nigel Pearson who has kindly given me permission to re-blog it here on this site. I have also added some links for further reading at the end of the article if you would like more information The first time I saw something being printed in 3 dimensions was back in 1987 when I visited my brother at Essex University where he had been studying Computer Science since leaving school two years earlier. He told me that they were using a machine called an Autodesk FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) Printer – which made objects layer upon layer out of plastic filament and then glued them together afterwards with resin. This was very impressive as we sat there looking down onto a large table covered with various components waiting their turn on the printer. My mind was racing! How did such things work? What materials could be used? Could I build one myself and what would happen next? At that point no consumer products existed yet but it seemed obvious that commercial applications would soon arise once the technology matured. Twenty four years later and the pace of innovation continues apace – albeit not always smoothly or without setbacks along way….. In May 2016 I found myself attending another conference about Additive Manufacturing (AM). The main reason why I went to this event was because someone had said “you should really see this”. But what did ‘this’ mean exactly? Was it just going to be more speakers telling us how great AM already is whilst simultaneously showing off lots of pretty pictures from manufacturers whose businesses are based around selling these machines today; Or perhaps it might actually offer useful insights into what lies ahead over coming months / years ? Either way whatever happened during those three days definitely exceeded expectations: One thing became immediately apparent though …… If anyone wants evidence demonstrating conclusively beyond any doubt whatsoever that we live within interesting times right now , then look no further than what happened last year alone : In June 2015 Makerbot sold itself off via acquisition by Stratasys Inc ; Then towards Christmas came news reports confirming that Hewlett Packard Enterprise had purchased Synta Systems Ltd – only weeks before announcing its intention to discontinue operations completely less than six month after acquiring them !!! So much change indeed !! And this trend shows little sign of abating either judging by recent developments including moves seen elsewhere involving Xerox buying out both HP & Dassault Systèmes amongst others . Clearly all sorts of exciting possibilities await us hence making sense therefore why many experts think global spends associated w/additive tech will reach $4 billion annually by 2020 compared w/. present day levels
