Below is a long blog post about 148th Fighter Wing, the oldest and largest unit in Minnesota Air National Guard. This was written for publication on the website of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs as part of their 2021 “Vets Month” promotion (November). You can find the article here: https://mnva.org/about-us/veteran-stories/air-force-and-national-guard/minnesota-national-guards-oldest-largest-unit/ Below is a long blog post about 125 years of the Easter Rising. The 1916 rising was an armed insurrection in Ireland against British rule, which began on Easter Monday (April 24), when rebels occupied key buildings and positions throughout Dublin. The uprising quickly spread to other parts of Ireland as thousands took up arms for independence. In response, the Irish Republican Army (IRA) launched attacks on police barracks across Ireland, sparking bloody clashes that continued until Sunday, April 30. By early May it became clear the rebellion had failed; only one-fifth of the cities of Dublin remained under control by late Saturday afternoon. Below is a long blog post about 4.5, but it’s very much worth reading if you want to know more details than what we could include in the release notes (if only because I took some time out of my holiday vacation period to write this). The post describes some changes that affect how developers build and maintain applications on Windows Azure Platform, including: Windows Server AppFabric Entity Framework Provider for SQLAzure Enhanced support for .NET Standard libraries Support for HTTP/2 protocol Changes around application secrets management Improvements to WebJobs SDK v3 For full details see the blog here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/windowsazurestorage/archive/2016/09/28/announcing-the-windows-azure-platform-update-to-version-4-5-for-net-and-webjobssdkv3-release-notes.aspx Below is a long blog post about 50 Shades of Grey. I’ve been asked to edit it, but I have not yet done so because there are too many good points in the original for me to want to take out anything. I was at dinner with some friends last night and we got talking about Fifty Shades of Grey (FSofG) - the book that seems to be on every woman’s bedside table right now. It’s also pretty popular amongst men – especially those who don’t normally read romantic novels! At one point or another, almost all our group had picked up this novel and devoured it in a couple of days. We were trying to work out what draws women into reading something like FSofG which would normally fall outside their usual genre choice. What made us pick it up? And why do you think people keep going back for more if they can see its flaws from page 1? In my opinion, these questions go hand-in-hand when considering whether FSOF deserves your time as an author/reader: Does this text succeed in what it sets out to achieve; does it fulfil its own premise? If yes, then perhaps readers will turn away from the clichés and predictability towards finding other things within the story they find interesting… But if no, how far must we allow ourselves to suspend disbelief before giving up? Where’s the line between ‘this is awesome’ and ‘come off it!’. And here lies the problem. The line isn’t clear cut: it changes depending upon your context. For example, I know plenty of girls who say “the sex scenes are hot” without questioning any underlying issues within the narrative itself. Why should they care if Christian has been described by his ex-wife as having a personality similar to that of Gollum? They’re just after a bit of fun, aren’t they? Well maybe, but if you take such a superficial viewpoint you miss a huge part of what makes books like FSofG so frustratingly addictive even though most critics agree they shouldn’t be. Personally, I don’t mind when a love interest gives a girl flowers once in while; however, if he only ever buys her expensive gifts and never acknowledges she might enjoy doing normal stuff together instead of constantly being swept away by his wealthy lifestyle, I begin to get irritated very quickly. Likewise, if the male protagonist doesn’t respect boundaries and consistently goes beyond them throughout the entire book then that character loses credibility very fast indeed. So let’s look again at Mr Grey… First off, Ana falls head over heels for him straight away despite knowing nothing else apart from his looks. This is obviously down to bad writing rather than bad editing since she already knows he’s attract Below is a long If your name seems to pop regularly to the police report column for drug dealer charges there will more probability to land on you for charges of druganbu in Australia but one of most common criminal law offencies of this country especially after making several charges as drugs. Mom’s got cancer again after beating it five times before (and twice since). She has been at home for almost four months, getting stronger every day… until last weekend when she had her first bad reaction from an IV treatment. They took her back into the ER on Saturday night where they started treating a fever/infection problem which turned out to be pneumonia – the exact thing everyone was worried would come roaring down upon us because we all know what that means: “chemo” time! And yes there will probably be chemotherapy treatments coming up soon. MRI shows tumor reduction so let’s hope this works as well as last round did. We have faith in our doctors who are some of THE best anywhere!! Thanks to them for everything!!! It will be a long road ahead but hopefully we can beat this one too. Keeping fingers crossed here. So how does this impact me? Well, I’m not working right now due to family health issues; plus I haven’t taken off much work over these past few weeks—but still feel guilty even though I shouldn’t. So anyways, if anyone wants to help pay bills or something like that please donate whatever amount feels good for ya! Thank you very much in advance <3 God bless y’all always & forevermore : ) <3
