The key advantage of all these software options is that once you have created a model you can save it as an .STL format which is what almost every piece of hardware currently uses; see below for information on different types of formats used within the community. CAM Software - To take your design through to being printed you need “Slice” software such as Skeinforge, Repetier Host or CURA. All of these come with easy-to-use interfaces that walk you through the process step by step. You don’t even necessarily need any knowledge of GCode to get going.
