what I did and make

Below is a long blog post about 2015. It’s an attempt to look back at the year, take stock of what I did and make plans for next year – though it does wander off topic somewhat as well! It’ll probably be quite boring unless you are me or someone who knows lots about my life so don’t feel obliged to read on if that applies to you…but hey ho here goes anyway (with apologies in advance). I have two main resolutions this year: one personal and one professional; they both involve writing but each with different aspects. My ‘resolution’ was actually suggested by a friend some time ago now when we were talking about New Year’s Resolutions over lunch and she told me how much she liked having just one goal for her whole year rather than setting myself lots of little goals all the way through the year which tend not to get done. She said something like “a good goal should change your habits” and also made reference to Gretchen Rubin’s The Happiness Project where she set herself one big goal per year too. Since then I think I’ve tried several times to come up with my own Big Goal but haven’t managed yet. However last weekend I had another conversation along these lines (and possibly because of my recent attempts) and came away feeling inspired again to find out more about this idea of setting yourself a single big goal each year instead of lots of small ones. So today I finally sat down and worked out what my resolution will be. And since the same person who originally suggested the idea happens to work with children and young people, it has become apparent that my goal needs to somehow incorporate teaching/mentorship or helping others develop their skills (rather than developing mine). This seemed obvious once I started thinking about it although previously it hadn’t occurred to me. Anyway the result? Apart from wanting to help kids learn new things obviously there wasn’t really any other option open to me. So after much deliberation I decided that I want to write a book – fiction – this coming year! If successful (i.e., published), I hope it might encourage others to follow suit and lead them into my field. My second resolution is related to my first only indirectly. It involves learning and improving my craft. There are plenty of books about writing available already so instead of looking specifically at those I thought I would try to do something slightly less passive and perhaps better suited to my individual situation i.e. join a class. After doing research online and speaking to friends, I found a very cool course run locally called Write Now offered by local authors Dianne Bates & Jan Owen. They offer a variety of courses aimed at writers including Fiction, Memoir & Personal Essay and Writing For Children but I chose the Creative Non-fiction category based largely on reading about the instruct Below is a long blog post about 50 different ways to make money from home. I’ve tried and tested all of the ideas below, so you know that they actually work! My wife and I started making extra cash on our own terms over ten years ago when we both quit jobs in London. We didn’t have any formal qualifications or experience with businesses like this beforehand but we were determined to build an online income stream which would allow us freedom to travel whenever we wanted without being tied down to regular full-time employment. Over time these small earnings grew into something much bigger – today they provide enough passive income for me not to need another job at all! Here are some examples: Rent out your parking space One option worth considering if looking towards investing in property near schools then rent out those spaces instead because parents will pay high prices compared other areas due low supply demand situation there right now anyway plus having steady source revenue every month makes sense especially since people always want somewhere safe keep belongings secure while away from their homes during daytime hours (and nights too). If interested contact local council who can point anyone directly toward relevant authority figure responsible handling such matters within community guidelines set forth by law enforcement agencies everywhere across world–this should help get ball rolling quickly… It might seem strange at first glance; however, it turns out leasing out office equipment isn’t as difficult as one may think.
